When I was at Temple, Liacouras Walk was a concrete corridor. that froze in winter and served as a heat island in Philly’s 100-degree summers. David Rubin Land Collective created “The Cut”, an offset plaza that balances open space with greenery and moving water, that’s shaded by mature tree canopy.
